If honest - the last tower I owned was more than 10 years ago, when my mother bought as a gift some Intel Celeron PC with XP Home Edition it had some 32GB HDD and 128 MB RAM. Well, I'm glad full to my mom for such a great gift - because of it - it was my first real computer that actually worked (by the way it was with monitor back from 1992 :) ) Sleepless nights on MSN chat rooms... :))
It suited well for some 5-6 years, didn't require much maintenance, once I changed HDD for it, and once I finally get rid of the monitor from 1992, by changing it with some LCD.
Soon after a laptop era started and I'm advocating for laptops over PC ever since. But ... a lot has changed, technology has involved... in our days PC comes with 1TB HDD, 8GB and more RAM... a lot has changed.
