So you decided to improve your Drupal sites functionality by using Drupal modules? Now you are guessing how to install a Drupal module?
You can install Drupal modules by using ftp or drush. I prefer using old school ftp transfer method, but you might prefer using drush as well.
For FTP module transfer:
- Search your module on Drupal.org site, look for any dependencies required (if) for your module, and if required download those modules as well.
- Once you have downloaded a Drupal module to your hard disk, unzip it by using some archive program, like WinRAR or unzip.
- Then open your unachieved folder, and upload it's contents via FTP to your sites "sites/all/modules" directory.
- After module has been transferred, open your Drupal site, and head to address: yoursite.com/admin/modules and search on that page for your newly enabled module. If you see it there, just check the box next to it, and scroll down to end page, to press "Save configuration"
That's it! Your Drupal module has been installed and enabled.
