Long time has passed since my latest savings report, since then my savings have gone to ground 0 thanks to the home remodeling tasks I'm performing. In the past I have invested both in deposits, mutual funds and of course in stocks. But always I have spent my investment money in some other things and goals, and that's not nice. Well I'm not against investing into a house as I'm doing it right now, not at all, as I believe it's one of the best investments a small investor can do - to invest in his/her house.
But right now I do have some few extra hundred dollars and I decided it would be best to invest them into... yes, into stocks.
I remember back from my study years and many times have read on books that stocks have one really lucrative option - dividends, and I started to search for stocks which offers dividend payments, and luckily I found an very interesting article Warren Buffett's Top 10 Dividend-Paying Stocks for 2015
If you're looking for dividends from the Oracle of Omaha, you won't find them at Berkshire Hathaway -- but you will uncover them in a number of his top stocks.
I studied carefully companies listed on that article, compared stock buying price and did find a two companies pretty interesting for me right now. At start I decided to put some $600 on stocks (I believe it's a very small amount for some serious trader, but hey I need to start somewhere, but then I decided I will actually go with even less - I'm looking to invest $300 in one company, so I can buy about 20 stocks, and ... and just test how does it works in reality).
As I said - I have read a lot of books on investing into stocks, and I have even actually had bought some stocks in past doing it at local bank.. and just forgetting about them, and then just selling them. I have little knowledge on commission, margins e.t.c.
And then I found Plus500.com online trading platform offering access to all major stock markets (please note I'm not interested into Forex, just stock market) - I read a few reviews of this trading platform - just to see isn't it some scam, didn't find it listed as scammers and just then proceeded registering into trading platform. I did find it very intuitive, did some research on stocks I might be interested, and right now I'm sure for 99% I will actually deposit $300 here and will buy some stocks.
I will keep you updated on how does it goes.
