Latest Stock Buy from Nasdaq Baltic - Ekspress Grupp (EEG1T)

Updated: 27 March, 2019 seen 96

On February 11th, 2019, I bought an additional 200 shares of Ekspress Grupp (EEG1T) paying EUR 0.98 per share.

As this stock is from the Nasdaq Baltic listings, it's hard to forecast future dividend for it, but as I have this stock in my portfolio since 2017, I'm looking for dividend on July.

From the bright side - Ekspress Grupp has increased dividend since 2013. Last year it was a record dividend of 0.07 EUR per share.

Unfortunately, Ekspress Grupp has lost about 20% of its value since  November 2018, or I have lost 26.98% in my portfolio (long since 2017). Right now it is too early to speak about dividends for 2019. If traditions are kept and Ekspress Grupp would increase the dividend to 0.08 EUR per share, that would mean an 8.1% dividend yield. Nothing fancy, but taking into consideration that in the past company has paid a dividend yield in the range 4-5%, I wouldn't be too optimistic about getting 0.08 EUR per share. Instead, I believe the dividend will be ~ 0.04 - 0.05 EUR per share. Things might go South and we could have a 0 dividend (as it happened with SAF Tehnika in 2018)

Top Dividend Paying Stocks from Nasdaq Baltic I'm Planning to Acquire in 2019

Ekspress Grupp now takes 7.21% from my Nasdaq Baltics holdings. With this latest buy, I also managed to level up negative value growth from -26.98% to -18.70%, or after dividend income from -19.85% to - 13.76%

Depending from the dividend size, for the rest of the year, I'm looking to get a EUR 8 - EUR 16  (USD 9.05 - USD 18.10  ) from this buy, which is about 0.44% - 0.88% from my $2,045 goal for 2019 (There could be 0 dividends as well)

Since being listed on the Nasdaq Baltic (around April 2007) the stock price has lost about -84.64%, with the largest drop, happening around 2007/2008.

On the other hand if looking at historical data for the past 3 years (2016-2019) scene looks this:

Historical stock price for Ekspress Grupp (3 years 2016-2019)

Historical stock price for Ekspress Grupp (3 years 2016-2019)

The price has been pretty stable during the last 3 years (in fact it has been pretty stable for about the last 10 years), with the only exception a huge price drop at the end of 2018 (all stock markets where down), and continuing to fall (as of February 11, 2019)

I'm neither bullish nor bearish about this stock. Right now I see it as a great buying opportunity, Hopefully, I'm not catching a falling knife. Do your due diligence before investing.
