Welcome traders to the weekly trading results, where I'm documenting my path trading options on indexes and futures in the previous week.
I started my trading journal on September 23, 2019, and it's planned that there will be at least 52 such articles for the next 52 weeks. Today I'm sharing results for the fourth (#4) week from this journey
52 weeks covers a span for a one year. One year is a great time to learn and master trading. With these reports, I hope to improve my trading skills and premiums over time.
Trading week 42 was from October 14 until October 18, 2019 (Monday - Friday)
In total: 23 trades
10 winning trades, 3 losing trades, 10 trades open, (in total 16 open trades from the previous weeks)
- The total premium collected $692.74
- Total paid in commissions: $163.46
- Average premium per lot: $0.70
This week I was trading mostly 0DTE, 1DTE and Weekly expiring options on SPX, GC and AEX
Weekly trading results
Mostly vertical spreads, with few iron condors
- biggest win: $140.20 with 1 call bear spread on SPX 3005/3010
- biggest loss: -$253.80 with 1 put bull on SPX 2990/2985
This week was the highest in terms of income so far. If I would manage to make $692.74 every week for 52 weeks in a row, it would give me $36,022.48/year. Well, that's the number I would love to take.
So far (after 4 weeks) I've made $1,842.81 (on average $460.70/week), if I would keep the averages for the next 48 weeks, it would translate into $23,956.41 at the end of this experiment. Not so good anymore, but still acceptable.
Looking to make at least $350 (after commissions) next week
