This will be one of the fun blog posts - about blog statistics or more precisely about my blog's popularity in Sri Lanka. Did I just say popularity? I was just joking. In past 4 years, there have been about 6,155 sessions to this blog from Sri Lanka. That's roughly about 0.30% from total sessions, according to Google Analytics.
I wouldn't probably even mention this, but since we are planning a trip to Sri Lanka for about 3 weeks at the end of the year, and I have little idea about this country yet. I decided to learn more. One of the ways to learn more is to dig into Google Analytics.
Yes, just 0.3% and I believe that's OK. As I don't have much Sri Lanka related content, not to say zero. Sure, I have learned there is Colombo, the nations capital and even listed some of the top luxury hotels there. But do I know something more? Nope!
Now, I can browse through Google Analytics and at least learn some of the province names and who knows, maybe it might help in my travel planing?!

Most of the location names I cannot even pronounce.
But hey, probably these location names could help me to plan our upcoming trip?
According to Google AdSense integrated reports in Google Analytics, traffic from Sri Lanka have earned me astonishing one dollar and thirty-four cents ($1,34)
I'm not an expert from driving Sri Lanka traffic, but just recently I promoted my Facebook page to Sri Lanka audience, and the effect was huge, on average I got 1 follower for about $0.01.
Have about you? Do you have some thoughts? Are you a SEO professional from Sri Lanka? Maybe a travel agent? Leave me your thoughts/tips what could I get from data mentioned above! Enjoy! :)
