How to register site for Google Webmaster

Google Webmaster is tool from Google, which provides great usability for site admins to see how site "looks" on Google.

But how to register for Google Webmasters?

Easy:

Go to google.com/webmasters, click Sign in to Webmaster Tools, next click Add a site ,box will popup with option to enter your site URL, enter it and click continue.

By clicking continue will lead you to Verify page, you have few options:

Recommended option

Upload an HTML file to your site.

1. Download this HTML verification file[your-generated-html-file]

2. Upload the file to http://www.reinisfischer.com/

3. Confirm successful upload by visiting http://your-domain-name.com/your-generated-html-file in your browser.

4. Click Verify below.

To stay verified, don't remove the HTML file, even after verification succeeds.

Alternate Methods

HTML tag
Add a meta tag to your site's home page.

Domain name provider
Sign in to your domain name provider.

Google Analytics
Use your Google Analytics account.

Google Tag Manager
Use your Google Tag Manager account.
 
I prefer to use Google Analytics method from alternate tab section, so if you are you like me, and your site has Google Analytics instaled, check Google Analytics method, and then click Verify button:
 
If everything worked fine, you should see window like this:
 
Click the Continue button, to discover Google Webmaster options.
