Welcome to the twentieth (#20) dividend income report, covering earnings I've made from dividend-paying stocks, peer to peer lending (both fiat and cryptocurrencies) in December 2018.
In case you are wondering why I'm sharing online my earnings - the answer is pretty simple - back in January 2017, I set a goal to reach one million dollars in my bank…
Welcome to the sixty-first (#61) dividend income report, covering earnings I've made from dividend-paying stocks in July 2023.
Last month our daughter turned 5 years old, and we decided to take her to Disneyland in Paris, France.
Gosh, we traveled a lot, visiting Latvia, France (Paris and Marseille), back to Latvia, and back to Georgia. Spending our time at boutique hotels in Paris, villas near the Mediterranean, and still working with our frame house in Latvia. One of the busiest months I've ever lived so far.
I remember buying NKE stock from Vilgåle, TRIP stock in Marseilles, and AGRO stock already back in Tbilisi
Speaking about the dividend income, it was much slower compared to our travels. At the end of the month, we were able to collect some humble 0.54$ dividend payments. But...
... I'm restarting our dividend stock portfolio from scratch, and most of July was spent on buying some bits of dividend stock to give us some financial freedom in the future.
Quick stats:
- Portfolio value: $6,131.41 (+$1,390.92)
- Yearly dividend: $39.01 (+$22.84)
- Dividend yield: 0.64% (+0.30%)
Quite amazing, we were able to grow our stock portfolio by almost $1,400. The growth was coming from additional cash deposits, the stock market itself, expired options trades, and a tiny part come from the dividend payments.
Also, the new stock additions to the portfolio gave an impressive $22 boost to the yearly dividend income.
Stock purchases
Last month I added the following stock to our dividend portfolio:
- 2 AGRO
- 3 AMZN
- 1 BTI
- 3 DB
- 2 F
- 1 GOLD
- 4 GPS
- 1 MO
- 2 MPW
- 3 NIO
- 3 NKE
- 1 OHI
- 3 SPCE
- 1 SU
- 1 T
- 2 TEVA
- 20 TLRY
- 1 TRIP
- 1 VALE
- 1 WBA
All but, AMZN and NKE shares were bought from the put premiums on the stocks themselves. AMZN and NKE were bought from additionally deposited funds. Every month we deposit some EUR 300 for purchasing AMZN. NKE stock is bought from the options income from my crypto trades.
Total investment in new stock purchases: $1,196.62
These latest dividend stock additions will boost our dividend portfolio by about:
- $22.84 yearly
- $1.90/mo
- $0.06/daily
As most of the stocks were bought using premiums received from selling put options I actually don't care much about the quality of dividends themselves, I look at these stocks as a free meal (as long as I can manage options contracts)
Dividend income
Last month we received dividends just from one stock company:
- GPS paid us 0.54$ dividend
Options Income
From the closed options trades in July 2023, we took a profit of $182.42.
We closed options trades on the following tickers last month: TLRY, DIS, BTI, MO, GOLD, GPS, NIO, AMZN, VALE, SPCE, T, SU, TRIP

Goals for July 2024
When looking at July 2024 dividend income, looking at the current growth rate I will say USD 25 is what I'm looking at.
