52 Week Money Saving Challenge Version 4.0. SEB Europe Equity Fund

About 4 years ago I started a simple, so-called 52 Week Money Saving Challenge. The rules for this challenge are very simple - to deposit in the first week one euro, in the second week - two, third week - three, etc. The amount after each week continues to grow, up to the last week of the year, when it is 52 euros. Back in 2018, I was saving in the jar, but I must admit I dropped the challenge after some 6 months, as we were relocating from country to country and I didn't have any more access…

Sold all Bitcoin, Seb Mutual funds, Baltic Horzion and DelfinGroup Stock

Yesterday, on October 25, 2021, I sold all of the Bitcoin holdings I had with Coinbase PRO. Additionally, I sold off all my investments with SEB mutual funds and stocks at Nasdaq Baltic: Baltic Horizon, and DelfinGroup. I did this because I have started another interesting 52-week challenge - buying Apple stock for the next 52 weeks and I want to focus on that challenge.  As an options trader, I want to collect at least 100 shares with Apple stock and start selling covered calls on it (…

SEB-Active 3rd Pillar Pension Plan Review 2021

I opted for a 3rd pension pillar pension plan at SEB bank Latvia back in May 2019. I've been saving additional funds for old age for already two years. Time flies.  On the day, when I opted to save for old age,  my dad turned 65. Kind of average age in Latvia for retirement.  I started small, saving EUR 33/mo for the first four-month, then increased it to EUR 43/mo for the next 4 months, and again increased monthly contributions to EUR 58/mo for the next 4 months. Right now I'm investing EUR…

Opted for 3rd Pension Pillar

On May 22, 2019, I opted for the 3rd pension pillar at SEB bank Latvia. The main reason to sign up to this voluntary pension pillar is the hefty 20% tax refund once a year for the sums invested* (strings attached though) For now, I have decided to start small and invest really small amounts of money to get my foot wet. As I already have SEB bank Latvia account (I'm using it for holding Baltic stocks and getting dividend payments from the NASDAQ Baltic listed companies) it was not a brainer…

How I'm Buying Stocks in Nasdaq Baltics Market

I've been investing actively in the Nasdaq Baltics market actively since 2017. Currently, I hold stocks of 16 great dividend-paying companies. And in fact that's the reason I'm investing in this market - call me dividend investor. In today's article, I wanted to share a quick "how to" on how I'm actually investing in this market. For operations (trades) to happen, I've opened a brokerage account at SEB Latvia bank, which comes up with a cost of 0.0150% (minimum 1 eur) monthly fee for account…
