Today I had a great chance to take a participation on Georgian - Latvian business forum held at Expo Georgia in Tbilisi. Giorgi Margvelashvili new president of Georgia

Yesterday popular vote happened in Georgia and according to exit poll results the winner is Giorgi Margvelashvili. This man will be the president of Georgia for next 5 years.Previously I have wrote, that I have not a much clue, who is this guy. And still I prog-nosed that he will be elected. But I have this feeling, that after 5 years, he might became a realy popular person in Georgian society. You might say, well isn't he popular already, if been elected as president, with some 68%? Well, yes and no.He is person of Bidzina Ivanishvili - he was appointed by him. Even in Georgianā€¦

Presidential Elections in Georgia

On October 27th in Georgia will be held presidental Elections. As foreigner living in Georgia, I'm not into politics much. I know something, and many things I don't know. The role of president in Georgia after last parlamentary elections is kinda symbolic - so actually importance of presidental elections is just ... I don't know. Anyway there will be held these elections.I'm not sure how many candidates they have, but I have heard about 3.
