Duna de Bolonia is located in the Bolonia beach, some 20km west of Tarifa.

This dune is over 30 metres high and 200 metres wide, and stands out within the huge system of dunes to which it belongs. Located in the Bolonia Inlet, within the Estrecho Nature Park, this is one of the most unspoilt areas of the Cádiz coast, a vital natural habitat with stunning scenery.

Duna de Bolonia

The area is called "barjanal" on account of its half-moon-shaped dunes set perpendicular to the wind, with uneven slopes. It is one of the few transgressive systems in Andalusia, i.e., which are still advancing inland. Under the force of the easterly wind, it moves towards the ecologically important replanted groves of stone pine and scrub.

Although some of Bolonia's sands are covered by exotic species to avoid them advancing further, the cliffs which are battered by the easterly wind have unusual vegetation such as Andalusian coastal juniper, Savin juniper and Portuguese crowberry. In more exposed areas, only Marram grass, sand couch and lotus grow.

There is another line of dunes further back from the beach. Although it is in its infancy, it is coloured by marine thistles, white lilies and sea stock which grow in areas more sheltered from the wind, alongside rushes.

From the Bolonia-Faro Camarinal Trail you can see the broad beach of fine, golden sand. It is unspoilt and popular with surfers. You can also see the lighthouse with its giants' kettles and the Baelo Claudia archaeological site. This Roman town-factory is in surprisingly good condition and has the National Historic Monument designation.

Also recommended is scuba diving at nearby sites, with outstanding underwater karst formations.

Simple Crypto Trading Bot From Trality

06/24/2021 - 02:47 33 views
A few days ago I discovered this little amazing and free automated crypto trading bot from Trality and I feel very impressed.

Trality is a platform for anybody who wants to profit from algorithmic trading without giving up the day job. At least not right away

I like algorithm trading and I believe if done correctly then it can help to save money (and in the best scenario to make more).

A couple of years ago I did some experiments with another crypto trading bot - Gekko, but I soon stopped using it, despite the backtests I was able to generate pretty impressive returns using simple RSI strategy (buy when oversold, sell when overbought). Back then I was trading altcoins on Poloniex, which is something I really never have enjoyed in fact.

GDP Per Capita In Former Soviet Union Countries 2019

06/23/2021 - 07:21 11 views
It has been a while since I last time compared the economic output of the former Soviet Union states.

Last time I did, I had data for 2013, see: GDP Per Capita In Former Soviet Union Countries 2013

With the latest economic sanctions against Belarus I decided to take a look, how does each of the former Soviet countries stands now, the latest data I was able to gather was from 2019 (World Bank).

Per capita gross domestic product (GDP) is a metric that breaks down a country's economic output per person and is calculated by dividing the GDP of a country by its population. For the ease of calculations GDP per capita nominal is used in following table

Without further ado, here is the raw data

Sold 55 Shares of Washington Prime Group (NYSE:WPG) at $13.45; Bought 10 shares of KO at $48.26 per share

06/23/2021 - 02:59 13 views
On February 1, 2021, I sold  all 55 shares of Washington Prime Group (NYSE:WPG) at $13.45 to purchase 10 shares with KO at $48.26 per share + kept some cash

I've been holding WPG shares since late 2018 It seemed like a nice dividend stock, but later turned out one of the most disastrous stocks in my portfolio, falling from ~$7 per share to way below $1.

Once this stock fell below $1 I bought some more, idea was to go bust or make out like a bandit. Then WPG stock went stock split 9:1, and our 500 shares turned into 55, seems it was a smart enough move to buy additional 260 shares during the March 2020 market crash, if not that the result would be much worst. Anyhow - WPG now is the history in my portfolio.

Sold 80 Shares of Stone Harbor Emerging (NYSE:EDF) at $8.85

06/22/2021 - 02:12 5 views
On April 15, 2021, I sold 80 shares of Stone Harbor Emerging (NYSE:EDF) at $8.85 to finance other stock purchases on Interactive Broker

We have been holding EDF stock since July 2018, in general, I still like the stock, but my investment philosophy has changed and I'm not interested anymore to hold stocks without options.

EDF was a decent monthly dividend stock, unfortunately, I'm closing this position with a loss of -$572.35. Who knows, maybe in the future, I might buy back this stock.

Javakheti Trip

06/18/2021 - 06:49 23 views
One of the strangest weekend trips, - from the Russian Tsar favorite places in Abastumani to the footsteps of Khertvisi fortress which, rumor has it, Alexader the Great has visited.

From the Georgian Cave towns in Vardzia to friendly Armenians in Ninotsminda and back to Russian Dukhobor settlements near the beautiful lakes of Saghamo, Paravani, and Tsalka reservoir, not to mention tasty Belgian chocolate from the Phoka Monastery.

Strange, but awesome. Thumbs up!

On January 29, 2021, we bought 15 shares of NIO stock (NYSE:O ) paying $57.17 per share.

Unlike most of the other stocks I buy, NIO is not a dividend stock, instead, I see NIO as a potential growth stock

Covered Calls with Reinis Fischer Newsletter

06/16/2021 - 06:37 81 views
If you have been following my blog for a while, you most probably have noticed I love writing a lot about stock and options trading.

As this is going to be a longer, technical post, and you are here for what the title says, here is the link, go and start exploring: Covered Calls with Reinis Fischer

At some point, 80% of the new content in the blog was about some of my latest stock buys or detailed options trades.

It helped to fill up the content, but also to lose track of the other interesting things I do - travels, reviews, programming, photography, and so on. The blog started to look cluttered (and still does). I have heard many times that I have a very eclectic range of topics. Well, what to do.

Latest Stock Buy 8 shares of Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) $61.03 per share

06/15/2021 - 02:11 17 views
On March 5, 2021, I bought additional 8 shares of Intel Corporation (INTC) for our daughter's stock portfolio, paying $61.03 per share. Funds for this purchase were taken from my dad's inheritance fund.

With its quarterly dividend payout of $0.33 per share, this latest buy has a dividend yield of 2.16% and will pay us $2.64 (before tax) every quarter. Not the biggest addition to the portfolio, but every bit counts.

We are now holding 54 shares with INTC

Our average buy price: $55.95

I plan to increase the total share count to 100 in a reasonable time frame (say by the middle of 2021) and once we have 100 shares start selling covered calls on it to generate extra income.

Just for the illustration:
