Jomardi X Park And Rafting

"X Park" run by “Jomardi” Rafting Club is located nearby Tvalivi village on the left side of Pshavis Aragvi River at 900 meters above sea level. I have been familiar with the Jomardi Rafting Club since 2011 when I took my first rafting ride here in Georgia. At the start of June 2023, my better part had a birthday, and we agreed to celebrate it together with the office employees by having a rafting ride. Great for party, great for team building.  For getting here we organized a van from…

Husky MotoPark in Tbilisi

Husky moto park is located on the left side of Tbilisi - Kojori highway, not reaching Mtatsminda. I had a chance to spend some 20 minutes at Husky moto park and filming Enduro ride with DJI Drone Active track (unfortunately I failed), so I plan to return here some more. What I know about this place, there is a school, tours and of course a club available. I was told that I could rent an Enduro bike and drive inside the track for about GEL 60/hour. Which seems reasanable.  Husky moto park…

Zip Line Tbilisi (Georgia)

Zip Line Tbilisi is another cool thing to do while in Georgia. I might be late to the party, as discovered Zip Line Tbilisi just at the end of 2018, but seems it was first opened for a public already back in June 2017. It was during our latest trip to the Tbilisi Botanical garden when I noticed strange cables going from Narikala fortress into the botanical garden. Zip Line Tbilisi Visitors and locals of Georgia's capital Tbilisi can now enjoy the scenery of the city's popular botanical…

Wild Horses at the Lake Pape (Latvia)

Now, this is an interesting story - we didn't meet any wild horses tonight, but found some great information. At least I did. It turns out, wild horses have been living here just since 1999 when WWF-Latvia started to stimulate the return of wild horses in 1999 in Latvia.  It was in the evening of my birthday when we finally reached the place called  "Wild Horses at the Lake Pape " - unfortunately, turns out, such wild places, just like humans, have a working time. And at time we arrived this…

Rafting in Georgia - The Black and White Beauty - Aragvi

According to the accepted standards Georgia is associated with high and spiky mountains that plough the skies and try to reach the sun with their lofty heads. The landscape creates the feeling of the high-rise sky that seems to be somewhere far-far away. It is also one of the reasons why even during the summertime it gets darker almost at eight o’clock in the evening. Mountains, without any doubt, occupy the honorable first place in the beauty contest of Georgia’s natural peculiarities.…

Hiking Route in Georgia - Norio Village - Martkopi Monastery

Hiking from Norio village to Martkopi monastery is about 10km long distance (forth and back), best done in Spring, Summer, or early Autumn. The route is pretty steep, though covered with asphalt, there are parts of the damaged surface and some agility is needed.  Update: We originally did this hiking path back in 2017. in 2020 there is a new asphalt road built reaching the monastery complex The route offers a kind of Wilderness in Georgia views, with ruined bridges, tumble asphalt, and…

I'm fond of hiking/trekking trails near Turtle lake in Tbilisi, I have done several routes, with my favorite being unaccessible anymore after the Tbilisi flooding in June 2015. Failed attempt to complete Tskneti - Turtle lake hiking route

About a year ago I discovered very cool hiking route in Tbilisi, heading from Turtle lake to Tskneti town. The total distance for this route was about 7 km and it offered very spectacular landscape views. I have completed this route several times - last time together with my dad in May, 2015. At the start of February I decided to offer this route as a possible photo / hike route for Georgia Expat Photographer club members, but before that I decided to check is it safe there (because of…
