Armenia-EU: Brussels opens door to Association Agreement with Yerevan

Damned I'm confused, today I red an article on armenianow.com - Armenia-EU: Brussels opens door to Association Agreement with Yerevan, you might wonder why I'm surprised?Since January 2, Armenia is a full member of Eurasian Union (curated by Russia), as far as I remember Russia is not willing member countries of EAU to sign any treaties with EU at all. For now - I can say just one - I highly doubt Armenia will sign anything with EU, but time will show.I'm republishing article from...

Georgia Plans To Have Full membership in EU in 5-10 Years

Recently Georgia signed Association Agreement with EU, which includes Free Trade agreement with EU as well. Georgian Politicans were so happy, that they rushed to announce some great plans - and so MP of Georgia announced, that Georgia is eagger to have full EU membership in next 5-10 years. So far so good. On the other hand, newly elected president of European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker has already announced, that he is not willing to see any enlargement in European Union...

Ukraine GDP per capita

Ukraine GDP per capita in 2012 was about $3.866 thousands. Compared to other countries GDP per capita is low. Not to say very low. Ukraine together with Moldova and Georgia recenlty signed Association Agreement with European Union - and that opens European market for them. Will those countries benefits from that and will it eventually lead them to full membership in European Union - time will show. Some time ago I measured GDP growth in Ukraine, and pattern I noticed was that Ukraine has 3 times...

Georgia has signed Association Agreement with European Union

Today, June 27Th is a "magnificent" day for Georgia, or at least it's politics. Today Georgia in Brussels has signed Association Agreement with European Union. Together with Georgia association agreement was signed by Ukraine and Moldova as wellWhy I'm saying "magnificent" - let me explain:I'm neither Euro-pessimist or Euro-optimist. I'm trying to be neutral. I support democracy and transparency, I support European "values" - whatever they are. And I support Georgia's efforts to stay on Euro...

South Ossetia wants to join Russia

Separatist republic of South Ossetia, which separated from Georgia after short 5 days Georgia-Russia war, will held a referendum to join Russian Federation.I presume that right now while all world is watching events happening in Ukraine, Donbass, Slavyansk, few have heard about situation in South Ossetia. On the other hand, what makes me puzzled, here in Georgia, it's not heard from many as well. Seems that Georgia omits events in it's breakaway territory, in order to sign a Association...

Turkey could join Eurasian Union

That said makes me think, that Turkey has no serious plans to join Eurasian Union. IMHO Turkey is teasing European Union. And why shouldn't? Turkey has long, long history on it's attempts to join European Union, but there always are some obstacles from EU side. And that makes Turkey angry. From one side - EU is feeling fears, if Turkey will join EU, then mass migration of Turkish job seekers will over flood EU, on other hand it sounds kinda ridiculous.Germany, the main country against Turkey in...
