Node reference views display using relationships

    | Drupal Development | 4 seen

I started doing some Drupal powered site rebuilding.

By first of all I deleted all views and un-installed and deleted modules that are not must-have.

Then I started from scratch building with views:

It took me some time (about 5 minutes) to remember how to display referenced nodes on other node page.

Here is what you will need to achieve such behavior:

Create a new view, add Contextual filter nid, and add Relationships - referenced nodes, then add your fields and make them related to relationship, then just put block in your content area.

Cycling in Tbilisi: Left Embankment of Mtkvari

    | Outdoor Activities | 8 seen

Left Embankment of Mtkvari is one of the longest asphalt pavement cycling distances in city of Tbilisi - it stretches from Didube to Ortochala (passing Tbilisi Old Town). It is among the easiest routes as well.

For today's cycling assignment I decided to use section Marjinashvili - Didube - Marjinashivli from Left Embankment of Mtkvari

Embankment of Mtkvari in Tbilisi is really cool place for riders (and not only), except sudden obstacles, like inappropriate parked cars, or superficially repairs. Left Embankment is cool by one more reason - it' s cool for photography  - you can get some cool Tbilisi architecture shots from here:

    Tbilisi Botanical Garden

    | Tourism objects | 92 seen

Tbilisi Botanical garden is located at the foothills of the Narikala fortress in the city center of Tbilisi. The National Botanical Garden of Georgia occupies the area of 161 hectares and possesses a collection of over 4,500 taxonomic groups.

There are at least to entrances at the garden - one is from the top of Narikala fortress (You can get there by using Aerial tram from Rike Park) and other entrance is from Abanotubani just behind the Tbilisi Mosque.

Entrance fee: 2 GEL (As of 2018). Entrance is free for kids. Annual and six-month subscription is available starting 40 GEL. Probably if I would live in this neighborhood I would make sure I have such a pass.

If you are not afraid of heights, approach the edge of parking located at the main entrance gates and you will have a spectacular view to Tbilisi canal

Bamboo grove at Tbilisi botanical garden

Gardens history spans more than three centuries. It was first described, in 1671, by the French traveler Jean Chardin as royal gardens which might have been founded at least in 1625 and were variably referred to as "fortress gardens" or "Seidabad gardens" later in history. The gardens appear in the records by Joseph Pitton de Tournefort (1701) and on the Tbilisi map composed by Prince Vakhushti (1735). Pillaged in the Persian invasion of 1795, the garden was revived in the early 19th century and officially established as the Tiflis Botanical Garden in 1845.

    Cactus grove

From 1888 on, when a floristics center was set up, Yuri Voronov and several other notable scholars have worked for the Garden. Between 1896 and 1904, the Garden was expanded further westward. Between 1932 and 1958, the territory around the former Muslim cemetery was included in the botanical garden. Several graves have survived, however, including that of the prominent Azerbaijani writer Mirza Fatali Akhundov (1812-1878).

    Secret tunnels in park

Ok, they are not secret after all as they are pretty well visible for parks visitors. I always find it interesting - what reason they were built for - like as for some bomb shelters, secret tunnels for government officials or ... the rumor has it - one of the tunnels in park use to be used as the entrance in park, but was closed in mid-2000 as a nightclub was opened in it.

Here is what Wikipedia is saying about it:

The central entrance to the Garden is located at the foothills of the Narikala Fortress. The other, cut through the rock as a long tunnel in 1909-14, had been functional until the mid-2000s when the tunnel was converted into Georgia’s largest nightclub "Gvirabi".

Continuing a little bit of man-made built tunnels in rocks - checkout this Wine Tunnel in the region of Kakheti if your travels take you to these parts of Georgia

    Waterfall

Another magic place in Botanical gardens territory is this magical waterfall with a bridge atop of it. You can make a great selfie at least here, I opted for an HDR image instead.

    River in Tbilisi Botanical Garden

Park is equipped with children playground, benches and accessible routes, you can spend your day here by hiking or just by relaxing on one of the benches.

And of course, from gardens territory, you can get spectacular views towards the Narikala fortress

February 2014 Blog Income Report $9.60

    | Blogging | 4 seen

    Hey, there fellow online entrepreneurs!

Today, I wanted to share my online income journey with you all. It's been an amazing 10 years since I started my online journey and I have learned a lot along the way.

Last month (January), I earned a total of $8.37 from my four online properties. Not too shabby, but definitely not enough to retire on. But, I'm always up for a challenge and this month, I'm happy to report that I've seen an increase in my earnings.

This month (February), I've earned a total of $9.60 from my blog, which is a $1.23 increase from last month. On average, I've earned $0.34 a day, a $0.09 increase from last month.

I've had three days where I made more than $1, with my highest earnings per day being $1.85. However, I've also had five days where I didn't make any earnings. These numbers are still pretty low and I'm only about 25% towards my goal of reaching $40 a month, just to cover my hosting expenses.

But, I'm not one to give up easily. I've recently started a new niche site and I'm hoping that in the long-term, I'll be able to earn $200 a month from it. This month, my goal is to end the month with earnings between $16-$20.

So, there you have it, my online income journey so far. I hope that by sharing my successes and failures, I can inspire others to keep pushing towards their own online income goals. Let's see where this journey takes us!

Maximizing Earnings with Google AdSense: A Comprehensive Guide to Launching Your Own Niche Website (2014)

    | Blogging | 4 seen

Welcome to my journey of creating a niche website to earn money through Google AdSense! In this article, I will take you through my journey of starting and closing my first AdSense niche site, and my plans for the next 30 days.

Back in the day (2014), I was determined to make money through AdSense and I chose a niche that I was passionate about. I did thorough keyword research, created a new website, and made my first posts.

Despite ranking well and attracting about 2,000 users in the first year, the income was not as expected. The website made only about $20 in a year, and I realized that AdSense niche sites work better when the content is in English. Therefore, I closed the website in 2015 after the domain name expired.

Plans for the Next 30 Days

Now, I'm starting another AdSense niche site journey, and this time I have a clear plan for the next 30 days. Here's what I plan to do:

  • Posting 30 Focused Posts: I'm going to create 30 focused posts on the chosen subject to provide valuable information to my audience.

  • Backlink Building: I'm going to build backlinks to my website to improve its search engine ranking and drive organic traffic.

  • Launching a Facebook Fan Page: I'm thinking of launching a Facebook fan page to promote my website and drive social traffic.

  • The niche I've chosen is competitive, with low-volume keywords and high competition. But if I can figure out how to drive a lot of traffic, it could be a killer niche site. On the other hand, if I fail, I don't even want to think about it.

    Income Report in April

At the start of April, I'll publish my online income report, covering my new AdSense niche site as well. I'm excited to see the results of my 30-day plan and I hope to share my success with you.

In conclusion, creating an AdSense niche site is a journey full of ups and downs. But with hard work, dedication, and a solid plan, you can achieve your goals. I hope my journey will inspire and motivate you to start your own AdSense niche site. Stay tuned for my income report in April!

My Journey to a Fitter Lifestyle - From Aspria to Champions Academy

    | Living in Georgia | 4 seen

Starting a fitness journey is never easy, but finding the right gym can make all the difference.

After searching for a while, I found Aspria, a gym with several branches throughout the city. Initially, I was impressed by the reasonable pricing of 99GEL (~$57) for 24/7 access to the Dinamo Stadium branch. However, as time went on, I found that the best choice for me was actually Champions Academy.

Back in 2014, I had set a goal to lose 17 kilos, and I was hoping that Aspria would be the solution. Although I had made plans to visit, I never ended up making it due to laziness. Unfortunately, I also never lost the 17 kilos I wanted to. But now, as spring approaches, I am renewing my commitment to a healthier lifestyle. My goal for the next 30 days is to lose 5-7 kilos.

I understand that weight loss is a long journey, but taking that first step towards a healthier lifestyle is always the hardest. I hope that my story of finding the right gym will inspire others on their own fitness journey.

Whether it's Aspria or Champions Academy, the important thing is to find the gym that works best for you and stick with it.

Get Your Broken Laptop Hinges Fixed with Amazon: A Guide for Expats in Georgia

    | Living in Georgia | 8 seen

In Georgia, it's challenging to find good and affordable electronics, and repairing items can seem like a daunting task. If your laptop breaks, the common response is to take it to Laptop Center, or "Leptopi Centri" as it's known locally, located on Uznadze street in Tbilisi.

While they have been of help to me in the past three years, I've found their prices to be on the high side, with a flat rate of 100 GEL (~$57) for most services. What's more, they often blame problems on a bad hard drive or motherboard without identifying the root cause.

Since August 2013, I've taken matters into my own hands and started repairing my electronics, including bad hard drives and broken motherboards. The hinges of my beloved HP Compaq 6510b have broken this time, but since it's an old model that I've upgraded multiple times, I wouldn't dream of letting anyone else touch it.

To get the new hinges, a new laptop of the same model, an AC adapter for my tablet, filters for my vacuum cleaner, and other items, I'm turning to Amazon.com. The shipping process is made simple with the help of the broker company usa2georgia.com. I expect to receive all of my purchases in 2-3 weeks, which isn't the quickest option, but it's still better than nothing. And the best part is that the courier will deliver everything to my doorstep in Tbilisi for free, so I won't have to leave my home to shop and won't have to worry about Laptop Center anymore.

Google AdSense Success Story: How I Went from €0 to €100 in Lifetime Revenue Over 4 and a Half Years

    | Blogging | 10 seen

Exciting news! After 4 and a half years, I've finally reached a major milestone in my Google AdSense earnings - €100 in lifetime revenue, which is approximately equivalent to $137.54. I know what you're thinking, that's not a lot, but for me, it's a significant accomplishment.

I still remember the day I first added AdSense to one of my websites, back on September 4, 2009. It's been a long journey to get here, but I'm proud of my progress.

Update: It's been a year since I reached my €100 milestone, and I'm happy to share that I've now cracked €200 in AdSense earnings. This is a testament to the growth of my website and the effort I've put into creating quality content. Additionally, I'm pleased to report that I've also reached another AdSense milestone - $40 per month in earnings.

It's exciting to see my hard work paying off in a tangible way, and I'm motivated to continue growing my website and AdSense revenue even further.

Choosing a Profitable Niche for Your AdSense Website

    | Blogging | 10 seen

Are you looking to create a profitable AdSense niche site, but don't know where to start? Look no further, as we've got you covered. Finding the perfect niche for your AdSense site is crucial to your success.

In this article, we'll discuss the best strategies to find a profitable niche, and provide some tips to help you create a successful AdSense niche site.

    Conduct thorough keyword research

Keyword research is the first step to finding a profitable AdSense niche. Start by brainstorming some topics that interest you and then use keyword research tools such as Google Keyword Planner or Ubersuggest to find related keywords with high search volumes and low competition. This will help you to narrow down your niche and identify profitable subtopics to focus on.

    Analyze competition

Once you have identified a niche, it is important to analyze the competition in the space. Search for the niche keyword on Google and analyze the top results. Look at the sites that appear on the first page of the search results and analyze their content, traffic, and social media presence. This will give you an idea of how competitive the niche is and whether it's worth pursuing.

    Consider your interests and expertise

While it's important to choose a niche that is profitable, it's equally important to select a niche that aligns with your interests and expertise. This will make it easier for you to create high-quality content that engages your readers and keep you motivated to keep working on your site.

    Look for evergreen content

It's best to choose a niche with evergreen content that doesn't become outdated quickly. This will help you to maintain a steady flow of traffic and ensure that your content remains relevant for a longer period. Popular evergreen niches include health and wellness, personal finance, and self-improvement.

    Check for AdSense potential

Finally, it's important to check if your chosen niche has AdSense potential. You can do this by checking if the niche has high CPC (cost per click) keywords that advertisers are willing to pay for. A niche with high CPC keywords will have a higher potential to earn revenue from AdSense ads.

In summary, finding a profitable AdSense niche site requires careful research and analysis. By conducting thorough keyword research, analyzing the competition, considering your interests and expertise, looking for evergreen content, and checking for AdSense potential, you can increase your chances of creating a successful AdSense niche site.
