The other day I faced this problem - server was not automatically renewing Let's Encrypt certificate:

produced an unexpected error: Problem binding to port 443: Could not bind to IPv4 or IPv6.. Skipping.

It took me some time to debug and find a solution, which is as easy as shutting down nginx server and then renewing lets encrypt (Solution found here: Trying to renew cert on nginx but getting “Problem binding to port 443: Could not bind to IPv4 or IPv6”)

sudo /etc/init.d/nginx stop then sudo certbot renew   and finally sudo /etc/init.d/nginx start Hope it helps!

Dubulti Evangelical Lutheran Church

| Churches and Monasteries | 12 seen

Dubulti church, the most expressive object and the visual dominant of the surrounding area is the most monumental and exquisite Art Nouveau building in Jurmala from the viewpoint of historical and sacral architecture.

The size and details of the building clearly show the tradition of national romanticism that may be seen in the rich sculptural elements of the building in the placement of the elements, decor of ornamental sculptural details, as well as the diversity of the facade decoration with the smooth, corrugated and coarse plaster.

Dubulti Evangelical Lutheran Church

Dubulti church with 750 seats as it is today, was built by Riga building contractor and manufacturer, master of masonry Krisjanis Kergalvis (1856-1936) according to the design of the architect Wilhelm Ludwig Bockslaff (1858-1945) and Edgar Woldemar Eduard Friesendorf (1881-1945). Its foundations were laid in September 1905, but officially the foundation stone celebration took place on 16 June 1907.

2 Baby Stocks To Have in Portfolio

| Investments | 8 seen

Being a proud father of one little princess, and being an active and growing portfolio investor, in today's stock watchlist series I want to speak about two great "baby stocks" - Kimberly-Clark and Procter&Gamble.

If you ever have changed a diaper you will know these companies because of Huggies and more famous Pampers brand diapers

Both companies will be a good fit in almost every portfolio, both are more than 100 years old, and what's interesting, both companies currently offer pretty attractive ~3.5% yield. Speaking of me, currently, 3.5% yield for me is way too low (right now I'm focusing more on +9% and more dividend stocks) - but I'm ready to come back here after a year or two and add the blue chips to my portfolio.

Kimberly-Clark (NYSE: KMB)

Kimberly-Clark Corporation is an American multinational personal care corporation that produces mostly paper-based consumer products. Kimberly-Clark brand name products include Kleenex facial tissue, Kotex feminine hygiene products, Cottonelle, Scott and Andrex toilet paper, Wypall utility wipes, KimWipes scientific cleaning wipes, and Huggies disposable diapers and baby wipes.

Procter & Gamble (NYSE: PG)

Procter & Gamble Co. (P&G) is an American multi-national consumer goods corporation headquartered in downtown Cincinnati, Ohio, founded in 1837 by British American William Procter and Irish American James Gamble. It primarily specializes in a wide range of cleaning agents and personal care and hygienics products.

One of the most revolutionary products to come out on the market was the company's disposable Pampers diaper, first test-marketed in 1961, the same year Procter & Gamble came out with Head & Shoulders. Prior to this point, disposable diapers were not popular, although Johnson & Johnson had developed a product called Chux.

Pica Diāna - Pizzeria in Ventspils

Pizza Diana probably is the most popular pizzeria in Ventspils. This Pizzeria offers more than 25 types of pizzas and various second dishes at very friendly prices.

Located on J.Poruka street in an old 5-story Soviet apartment house, the pizzeria is pretty close to the city center.

Despite you cannot compare this pizzeria with the famous Armenia Tashir Pizza - one thing is common, both pizzerias have very similar outdoor terraces. See: Tashir Pizza (On Mashtots Avenue, Yerevan)

Postcards from Ventspils

Ventspils is a city situated on the western coast of Latvia, on the Baltic Sea. Ventspils is one of Europe's busiest ports. It is also the city that honours the past, thinks of the future, and never stops working!

In today's Piece of Life series - postcards from Latvian seaside town - Ventspils.

Captured back in Summer 2017

Viewing Platform In Ventspils

| Tourism objects | 9 seen

You can have a look at the city from the bird’s eye view from the 19 meters high viewing tower located next to the Ventspils Southern quay.

When visiting a new place for the first time I'm always looking for some observation desk to make some great landscape photography, that's how I discovered this Venstpils viewing platform - offering great views across the Baltics and some urban cityscape.

I have climbed in more dangerous constructions and this one located in Ventspils seems safe enough

As it was a sunny Summer day back in 2017 when I visited this tower, there were a lot of folks in the city, but just a few tried this free attraction in Ventspils

Venstpils Livonian Order Castle

| Military Heritage | 8 seen

The Castle of the Livonian Order, which houses Ventspils Museum since September 2001, is the oldest preserved building in Ventspils, built in the second half of the 13th century (first mentioned in 1290).

The castle was built as a convent-house type building with an inner yard and can be regarded as the oldest medieval fortress in Latvia to have retained its original form virtually unchanged.

Indeed, after visiting a couple of Livonian Order Castle Ruins (Dobele Castle Ruins, Livonian Order Castle Ruins at Aizpute) Ventspils castle is a rare exemption of a surviving castle in the territory of modern Latvia.

Back in Summer 2017, I spent a short visit to Ventspils and visited both this castle and some exhibition at castle's museum.

Ventspils Livonian Order Castle

The castle chapel is the oldest preserved church building in the region of Kurzeme. In the 13th–16th century the castle was used by the brothers of the Livonian Order, later there was an Evangelical Lutheran church in the castle (1706–1835), a Russian Orthodox church (1845–1901) and also a prison (1832–1959).

A cannon

If you are into military heritage - Ventspils Livonian Order castle has a lot to tell.

Taxidermy elephant head

I was told that it's from a real elephant. Though it's hard to believe, but according to the told me at the museum some noblemen have taken it here about a century ago.

The inner yard at Venstpils Livonian Castle order reminded me a lot of scenery at Salvador Dali museum in Figueres, Spain. An elephant head made it look very surreal at the time I visited this place.

The castle has housed various administrative institutions and army units. The Soviet garrison left the castle in 1983. In 1997 the castle facades were restored and the area around it improved. In the course of study and restoration work, unique 15th– 17th-century mural fragments were discovered under several layers of plaster, and much evidence concerning the castle and its inhabitants was obtained during archaeological excavation.

Room with portraits of Russian Tsars

The museum regularly sees temporary exhibitions on art and history, as well as concerts and other events that enrich the city’s cultural life.

Miciņi

| Tourism objects | 14 seen

Miciņi has a very special place in my heart. I spent a good time in my early teenage years living here together with my dear granny. In fact, she was born here in 1929. Back in these days, a life buzzed in this area. Now, little has left over from the past glory - our family even doesn't own the land plot here. This is the thing I'm planning to change.

When I have a chance - I always try to visit this now almost abandoned place - it gives a good energy for me and of course a lot of good memories. For this article I'm attaching a few photographies I made at Miciņi in Summer 2017.

Nowadays some large farmer is running a farm here.

Valmiera market is another market I've visited latelty in Latvia (See: Riga Central Market, Liepāja market and Kuldiga market).

Though I believe some could buy here goodies grown by local farmers, last time I visited this market (July 2017) all I could find was just flowers and plants.

Mazais Ansis Restaurant Near Valmiera

Mazais Ansis is a popular roadside cafeteria/restaurant located some 15 km from Valmiera town (if driving from Riga). This place serves a traditional Latvian cuisine.

When traveling to the Vidzeme region in Latvia, I love to take a stop here and have a lunch. Here comes my latest review back from Summer 2017.

Former bath-house of Emilija Racene in Jurmala

| Tourism objects | 73 seen

When thinking about bathhouses the first thing that arrives in my head is the sulphur bathhouses located in Tbilisi, should they be located in the Abanotubani district or the old and neglected Kiev's bath.

Turns out there is not less interesting bath-house (though former) in Latvian Jūrmala - Former bath-house of Emilija Racene

Again, when thinking about something former - I always remember the lovely former hotel London building in Tbilisi.

Now, back to the subject, according to visitjurmala.lv

The building was constructed in the beginning of the 20th century and saw its expansion in 1914, for he first time ever in this part of Jurmala offering various – warm sea water, carbonic acid, oxygen and pine-tree extract baths daily in summer, and winter time. Two-storeyd wooden building is characterized by a high plinth on the beach side and wooden carvings that creates an urban accent in the buildings and constructions on the beach side. During the Soviet times the building hosted resort clinics that was one of the most well-arranged treatment establishments in Jurmala.
